The Newtown Board of REALTORS® & The Northern Fairfield County Association of REALTORS® have arranged for a bus for REALTOR® Day At Capitol. Unfortunately at this time the seats allotted for NFCAR Members have all been reserved. If you would like to be placed on the wait list for bus transportation to Hartford, please contact Jessica at 203-744-7255 as soon as possible. If necessary NFCAR will assist in arraigning carpooling to get to the Capitol as well as the bus. 

Have you ever taken the time to meet with the Senators or Representatives from your area? Do they know how you feel about the issues that affect your daily business? For over 25 years, Connecticut REALTORS® have been coming together to meet with State Senators and Representatives to let them know our views on the issues that affect our business. Having a significant size group at this event will make a difference. Your participation will help show the Legislators that our views are important and we need to be heard. This event is open to members of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® only. There is no fee to attend. Don't miss the opportunity to show that you are part of one of the strongest organizations in Connecticut when we gather at the Capitol on March 24, 2010. Deadline to register is today, March 8^th. 2010 Emil J. Morey Scholarship Applications Are Now Available 

The Emil J. Morey Memorial Scholarship was created in 1988 and first awarded in 1989 to honor the memory of REALTOR® Emil J. Morey (1923-1988) Emil J. Morey Memorial Scholarship applications are available at the NFCAR office. Stop and pick up your application. The deadline for students to submit their application is Wednesday, April 28th. This year our winner’s will be announced on June 9th at our General Membership Meeting. 

Just a reminder – Caravans are not managed or operated by NFCAR – they are managed and/or operated by REALTORS®.  Rules and regulations apply to each of the individual caravans.  If you have any questions regarding the caravans, please call the contacts listed above. 

Basic 1 - 10:00 - 11:30: This course is designed as a very basic introduction to MLXchange. This class will concentrate on beginner functionality. The agent will learn how to move around the system. 

CMA - 2:30 - 4:00: This course is designed to take an agent through a complete CMA analysis using the CMA Wizard.  

Listing Book - 1:30pm - 4:30pm: This class covers setting up your personal profile, adding your buyers and sellers, viewing client and listing reports, setting up your Business Builder website, and creating targeted marketing campaigns.

REALTOR® Magazine's Good Neighbor Awards Opens Call for Entries 

REALTOR® Magazine is seeking nominations for the eleventh annual REALTOR® Magazine Good Neighbor Awards. The National Association of REALTORS®® annual program recognizes REALTORS® who've made extraordinary commitments to their communities through volunteer work. The five winners will be announced in November in REALTOR® Magazine. Each winner will be recognized at the 2010 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in New Orleans and receive travel expenses to the conference, national media exposure for his or her community cause, and a $10,000 grant for the charity. In addition to the winners, five honorable mentions will each receive a $2,500 grant. Good Neighbor Awards entries must be received by Friday, May 21, 2010.
