ePRO 

The e-PRO Certification Course is an educational program unlike any other professional certification or designation course available, comprehensive and Interactive. It is sponsored by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® and is specifically designed to help real estate professionals thrive in the competitive world of online real estate. In addition, the e-PRO Certification Course is geared to ensure continued success in online real estate after the course has been completed and certification earned, by online participation in the e-PRO Community and the e-PRO Referral Network. CRS 
The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education. CRS training gives you in-depth knowledge about business planning, making listing presentations, negotiating and closing smoother transactions, working in the buyers’ and sellers’ best interest and building a referral business. Once you have completed the rigorous educational and production requirements to earn the Certified Residential Specialist Designation, you have many resources at your fingertips — strong referral network of more than 45,000 CRS members; timely and timeless news and information   found in the bimonthly magazine, The Residential Specialist; and networking opportunities locally through CRS Chapters and nationally at events such as Sell-a-brations®, the Council’s annual educational conference, and National Committee Meetings held twice yearly. REALTOR® University   
REALTOR® University is the National Association of REALTORS® Internet-based online education service where real estate professionals can take courses online for continuing education credit, professional development, and designation certification. Real estate professionals can take courses online - anytime and anywhere there is an Internet connection: in your home, your office, or while traveling - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.   It is also a place where real estate educators can provide an alternative delivery method from the traditional face-to-face course delivery. REALTOR® University combines the instructor guidance and networking opportunities as in a classroom with the convenience and flexibility of home study courses. 60-Hour Courses  

Principles & Practices In Real Estate (Salesperson)

“Principles & Practices” is required by the State of Connecticut in order to become a real estate salesperson. This course represents the first step in your real estate career. It will introduce you to the fundamentals of real estate – giving you a clear overview of this exciting business. This course will include brokerage, listing agreements, and buyer/seller representation; various forms of ownership of real estate; legal descriptions, taxes, contracts, liens, and the transferring title. You will also become acquainted with aspects of real estate appraisal, finance, property management, and real estate law.  You must be at least 18 years of age to become licensed in the State of Connecticut. 

 
30-Hour Courses  
Principles & Practices In Real Estate (Broker)
“Principles & Practices” is required by the State of Connecticut in order to become a real estate salesperson. This course represents the first step in your real estate career. It will introduce you to the fundamentals of real estate – giving you a clear overview of this exciting business. This course will include brokerage, listing agreements, and buyer/seller representation; various forms of ownership of real estate; legal descriptions, taxes, contracts, liens, and the transferring title. You will also become acquainted with aspects of real estate appraisal, finance, property management, and real estate law. You must be at least 18 years of age to become licensed in the State of Connecticut. 
 
Basic Appraisal Principles
This course will teach you the significance and the role and structure of The Appraisal Foundation. It will also help you understand the history and development and recognize the significance of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, and define an appraisal. You will come away with the basic understanding of the principles and procedures to know be a successful appraiser trainee. 
 
Appraisal II 
This advanced course concentrates on commercial valuation and covers evaluation of income property, discounting and compund interest, income estimation and forecasting, debt financing, capitalization and discount rates, tax considerations, and an introduction to mortgage equity analysis and financial residual techniques. A financial calculator with functions similar to a Hewlett Packard 12-C or 17-B is required.
 
Essentials of Real Estate Finance 
This course is invaluable to agents and brokers and/or appraisers who are interested in increasing their knowledge and professionalism to a new level in the real estate industry. You will be prepared to understand the essential of real estate finance, including:  the nature and cycle of real estate finance, mortgage instruments, the monetary system, loan processing, secondary mortgage markets, insured loans, defaults, foreclosures, and much more. 
 
Real Estate Law 

Ready to take the next step and make the move from Real Estate Agent to Broker? An excellent choice for those interested in obtaining their brokers license, this class uses practical case studies to address and illustrate real estate transactions in the state of Connecticut, including contracts, types of ownership, documents of conveyance, mortgages and closing procedures. Cover Connecticut's licensing laws, agency law and liability, duty to disclose, real estate finance, development and sib-division of real estate, condominiums, landlord tenant law, federal real estate law foreclosures. Books can be purchased in the college bookstore. 

 
Real Estate Brokerage 
Ready to take the next step and make the move from Real Estate Agent to Broker? This course offers an applications-oriented approach to help students become more effective managers, leaders, and communicators in today’s constantly changing business climate.
